Danny, UK

Hi,

I wasn't part of the feedback program, as you offered it only inside the US, but I thought you might appreciate some feedback anyway! I ordered three of the HPI RS4 3 rear exit pipes from meganitro, and they all arrived (to the UK) quickly and safely!

TSAIS: Customers' feedbacks are so important and valuable for us to improve the quality of our products and services. We DO value your positive and negative feedback. Many Thanks.

Three Cars:
1. My RTR3 with OS .18 (Not yet run, waiting for radio plate) 2. Iain's RTR3 with Standard .15FE engine, soon to be HPI .18SS engine 3. Hess' RTR3 Evo with Standard T15 engine

All three pipes were successfully installed onto cars, but not without problems. We found that the exhaust hanger was extremely difficult to bend properly, and if it wasn't bent perfectly it would pull on the shock tower. I fitted to cars #1 and 2 and as you can see from the pictures they look ok. Hess "helped" me fit his pipe on car #3, and it looks quite poor, I think that bending the hanger is too difficult for a non-expert (I work as an "HPI mechanic", and I found it quite tricky!). The second problem was that two of the manifolds supplied had poorly cut thread, which the screws did not bite into AT ALL, this was no big problem for me, but again, I feel that a novice would not know what to do, and does not give a good impression.

TSAIS: We are planning to make some aluminum body post plates to replace the stock one so the pipe can be installed firmly without pulling on the body post plate shortly. We are aware of the threads in the manifold are not perfectly made, so we have started making new ones.

Now, onto the pipe itself. In short its wonderful! I have not run the pipe with car #1 yet, however on both cars #2 and 3 we have all noticed huge gains in the low end responsiveness, and also some gains in the top end. Compared with the standard plastic HPI pipe and a "no name" aluminum tuned pipe there is no comparison, especially on the .15FE engine it has really opened it up!

Another thing that I would like to suggest are "dressage" tips for the exhaust. While the pipe looks very good, we all felt that it could look better with the shell on. With all the shells we tried the stinger is a few mm's inside the shell, a selection of "fake" tips such as those supplied with the TSAV02 savage pipe would give the pipe more style, and give yourselves an opportunity to make a little more money!

TSAIS: :)

I would also like to suggest a rear exit pipe for the rush evo, the exhaust port is facing backwards already, so it should yield better gains in performance and be easier to design, and I know lots of people in the UK who would be interested!

I was also wondering if there were any plans for a black TSAV03? And some pictures of the pipe installed on a savage with Lowered TVP's would be nice.

TSAIS:The black TSAV03 pipe will be available by the end of 03/2006. We should receive some LCG TVP's next week, so hopefully we can find time to take one demo Savage apart and rebuilt it with the LCG TVP's and c5H pipe shortly.

I have attached some (poor) pictures of the cars, and also a couple of (terrible!) videos, I intend to make a new video of all three cars, and get some proper pictures asap, and I shall send them on.

Thanks

Danny
